About This Place

Nestled conveniently on level -1 of Canada Place Mall in the heart of Canary Wharf, Joe Blake's Canary Wharf is a delightful coffee shop experience that’s quickly become a cherished staple for local office workers and visitors alike. This cozy spot stands out with its warm atmosphere and a menu packed with irresistible pastries and expertly crafted coffee drinks.

Step inside, and you’ll immediately be drawn to their vibrant display of freshly baked goodies—from flaky croissants and pastel de nata to indulgent tiramisu and a tempting variety of doughnuts, including their standout strawberry donuts. Each item is a celebration of texture and flavor: the croissants are golden and buttery with just the right amount of flakiness, while the pastries offer a perfect balance of sweetness without overwhelming the palate.

But it’s not just the tempting pastries that have patrons returning day after day. The coffee here truly steals the show. Varieties like the rich mocha, smooth cortado, and the customer-favorite oat milk flat white are brewed with care and precision. Coffee lovers frequently praise the full-bodied flavors and expertly balanced brews rivaling—and often surpassing—big-name chains. As one enthusiastic guest put it, the coffee was “better than I expected,” while another confidently heralded it "better than Starbucks and Costa."

The welcoming and attentive staff add to the inviting ambiance, transforming a simple coffee run into a friendly encounter. Miriam, one of the baristas mentioned in multiple glowing reviews, wins hearts with her expert craftsmanship and jovial spirit, making every visit feel personalized and memorable.

Whether you need a quick caffeine fix before a busy meeting or a relaxing escape with a sweet treat, Joe Blake's Canary Wharf combines quality, flavor, and genuine hospitality into one exceptional package. This charming coffee shop isn’t just a pit stop—it’s a wonderful find that celebrates the art of coffee and pastry in London’s bustling financial district.

A super warm friendly spot serving amazingly tasty pastries, excellent coffees at a very reasonable price and with a very friendly staff. What an incredible find! The Oat Milk Flat White is simply delicious. Seriously good coffee, thank you!

I’m new to the Canary Wharf offices and asked my colleagues where to find the best coffee — they all said Joe Blake’s. I went and jokingly told the barista I’m a coffee expert and asked if she was confident enough to impress me. She was — and she absolutely delivered! The coffee Miriam made was excellent: rich, well-balanced, and at the perfect temperature. She was kind, funny, and made me feel welcome. I’ll definitely be back!

Very much enjoyed my coffee here. The location is easy to miss but it is right in-front of Waitrose. Service was swift, staff were friendly, decor and design of the shop is modern and clean which is a plus. I had a cappuccino and it really had a lot of flavour. Much better than a lot of other coffee companies locally, where they can lose the taste / taste a bit watery once you've got past the initial top layer. Price point like a lot of coffee shops in Canary Wharf and more generally in London is just under £4 (feels like everywhere is slowly creeping up to that £4 mark or is near enough there) but I'd say it is worth it here. They offer an array of sweet treats and cakes should you be persuaded. All in all would say it is one of the better coffee shops in Canary Wharf alongside WatchHouse, Grind, 640East, Old Spike and Notes.

After coming from a very bad pret experience, was pleased to be treated so well by the lovely young lady this Saturday morning. Served us kindly and made a delicious coffee, gave us great advice on milk choice as I have allergies. Would have put her name but didn't get it, overall 10/10, will be back.
